Following the Robin Hood tradition, Harlan Banks (Steven Seagal), typically performs heists from those who deserve it or can afford it, and makes sure that most of his spoils goes to those in need. But time is running out on Harlan and he wants to go "straight", but he is convinced to do one last job, which at first seems to be a straightforward one, to drive an armored truck through Las Vegas. Little does he realize that he is actually the getaway driver in an armed robbery. Harlan gets the cash away but lands in prison, as a result of the frame job. His "partners" want the loot, but Banks isn't anxious to accommodate them, so he starts to plan of how to keep the money, get out of jail, and pay-back the crooks who framed him. He makes friends in prison with Anthony Criss (Ice Kool) to bust out of prison.
