In the first story we find that Blades enemys are Vampires. Blade is also a vampire, but with a twist. He walks in the sun because of his unique birth. His mother was bitten while pregnant. In Blade II, we still find Blade in the proverbial adage of good versus evil, but again with a twist. Blade has aligned himself with the foe that he despises in order to stop genetic super vamps. These super vamps do not discriminate. They attack both human and vampires alike. Even though the foe and Blade have teamed up, their is much distrust on both sides. Eventually they learn to work together, for the good of mankind, and so the vampires don't lose their feeding ground.
